One Word {2013} Faithful

So You Call Yourself A Homeschooler?

Every year since I came to Christ, the Lord has given me a word – one word – as his decree over my life each year. This year {2013} is no exception. After much prayer and time in the Word – God spoke VERY clearly to me that my word this year is FAITHFUL. I was reading my Word when I came across a very familiar scripture in Matthew 25:21, and the word “faithful” spoke to the very depths of my soul.

His lord said unto him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.
{Matthew 25:21}

Last year my word was fearless – and believe me, 2012 lived up to that title in my life!

This year I am looking forward to seeing how this word, God’s chosen word for me, plays out in my life. All I know is that I am seeking to honor Him through all of my ways and one big way is continuing to be FAITHFUL in the things of God {prayer, devotions, Bible reading, loving my husband and children, and ministering faithfully to those He has placed in my care}.

    I have done the very same thing the last three years. The word in 2011 was simplicity. In 2012 the word was peace. The word that God has spoken to my heart about 2013 is FAITHFUL! Saw your blog post on Pinterest and flipped! I am amazed at the ways that God keeps confirming this word in my life for this year. Thanks for sharing!

    FAITHFUL holds so much amazing promise, Carlie, I wish you well this year! My word for the year is PRAYER. Things are coming–for me, for the country, for the world–and God has called be to be FAITHFUL in PRAYER this year. (Did you see what I did there? lol)
